Details of Innovation Banana is harvested in a fully mature stage. The farmer fills the fruits in a big earthen vessel with paddy straw. Then he covers the mouth of the earthen vessel with another small earthen pot. Burning coal is placed on the earthen pot. The heat thus produced leads to uniform and early ripening of bananas.
