Details of Innovation | Symptoms of the disease- At the time when buds [kanti] grow, the rye crop develops red spots. The rye crop turns yellow. Then there is the epidemic caused by Adi. According to the farmer, when the leaves of rye develop red spots and when this crop is affected by this epidemic , budding will not happen. Insects too participate in the spread this disease. Method - Take two kilograms of outer layer of kakod (Garuga pinnata) per one vigha, crush it and keep for two hours, add to it five litres of water and filter with the help of a cloth. Fill this in a pump and spray all over the plant. Spray it once every alternate day, thus, spraying five times to bring the disease under control. This technique does not have any side-effect and the crop does not get affected. This process was developed by their ancestors. |
