"Most of the plants showed moderate to high level of toxicity. The ethanol extract of Zanthoxylum nitidum stem bark was found to be the most effective with an LC50 value of 6.10 ppm after 24 hours of exposure followed by that of Ziziphus jujuba with an LC50 value of 79.98 ppm. Alternanthera philoxeroides, Amphineuron opulentum and Sphaerostephanos unitus showed moderate efficacy whereas Ipomoea aquatic showed very low larval toxicity against the mosquito." "We proposed an effective and eco-friendly control of dengue, malaria, and filariasis-causing vectors. We tested Ipomoea batatas leaves-mediated silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) against first to fourth instar larvae and adults of Aedes albopictus, Anopheles stephensi, and Culex quinquefasciatus at different concentrations. The synthesized AgNPs showed broad spectrum of larvicidal and adulticidal effects after 48 h of exposure. The characterization of synthesized AgNPs was done using various spectral and microscopy analyses. Maximum efficacy was observed in synthesized AgNPs against the adult of Ae. albopictus with the LC50 and LC90 values were 10.069 and 15.657 μg/mL, respectively, followed by others." [V. "Ipomoea aquatica is also fodder for animals, in limited quantity as it is somewhat laxative. These herbs are of- ten grown in fish ponds by Chinese, particularly as food for their pigs (Ly et al. 2002, Westphal 1993), although they are also fed to cattle and fish (Edie & Ho 1969)." https://fdocuments.in/document/water-spinach-ipomoea-aquatica-convolvulaceae-a-food-gone-wild.html |
