Details of Innovation | Solanum melogina is affected with a disease called (GAROI), which leads to rotting of the fruit and dried appearance of the plant. Narayanbhai R Chudasma of Shil village of Mangrol taluk of Junagadh district, uses Aloe Vera to protect the crops from this disease. Seven or eight leaves of Aloe vera are taken and crushed and mixed with one l litre of water. This mixture is sprayed on to the plant either by hand or through a pump.
