Details of Innovation | Seeds of pulse crop, which are stored for sowing the crop in the next season, are spoiled due to storage. To prevent damage of seeds, use the leaves of gram (Cicer arietinum) and sour buttermilk. First of all, the seeds are dried well and then, they are soaked in sour buttermilk . The soaked seeds are dried again for the removal the moisture. They are then mixed with the leaves/powder of gram (Cicer arietinum) and stored in air-tight place. By this method, the seeds can be easily stored for the next monsoon season without any damage to the seeds. Even by this method, the seeds can be stored for longer duration. |
