Details of Innovation	The farmers keep the upper portion of the coconut (Cocos nucifera) face down and plant it in the ground is such a manner that it is completely buried under the soil. By doing this the coconut germinates faster. After thirteen days, they remove the plant and keep it in the normal position, that is, with the sprout showing out. It is also seen that the sapling gets as much moisture as is provided in a nursery.
