Details of Innovation MansukhbhaiSolanki is a cattle owner from Dhajala village of Sayala taluka of the Suredranagar district in Gujarat. He suggests a practice to improve crop output. Solanki believes that repeating a crop in the same soil reduces output. He sows pearl millet immediately after cumin (Cuminum cyminum) crop. The millet benefits from the fertilizer already in the soil. The roots of cumin also serve as fertilizer and improves millet crop. Solanki learnt this practice from his father.
