| Details of Innovation | Alambhai Virabhai Parmar staying in Lakhawad village of Sayala taluka in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat suggests the use of powdered salt of vadagru for protection of cotton, great millet, pearl millet, sesame from the root-affecting disease, sukaro. Alambai Virabhai sprinkles about mix 500 grams of vadagru salt per 10 kilogrammes of seed to be sowed. He has achieved 60 per cent control of sukaro by this traditional method. He has learnt this method from his forefathers.
