| Details of Innovation | In monsoon season, seeds of paddy (Oryza sativa) are soaked in the mixture of leaves of neem (Azadirachta indica) and "thikhhi shen" and then they are covered with gunny bag. After 24 hours, the seeds sprout, and they are then placed in the seed bed containing good moisture. The seedling gets ready after 20 days of sowing. In absence of this practice, it will take 10 days more. This variety is more suitable for making rice mixture. This practice has been in use from many years. Five kilogram seedlings are required in 0.24 ha of land. "Varodiau" seedling: This seedling can be grown in continuous or more rain water. In this method, castor cake is also used. "Varapu" seedling: Seedlings are prepared when the rainfall is acurate and proper moisture level is there. First of all water is given and then seedlings are transplanted into the field. Then, it is puddled with the help of bullock. On the second day, again it is puddled and water is applied. Thereafter, on the third day water is drained. |
