| Details of Innovation | When there is infestation of "aanjyu" insects in sorghum (Sorghum vulgare) crop, Chottnbhai Chaudhary collects tender leaves of "aja kolvi." About 5 kg of the leaves are crushed and juice is extracted. This juice is mixed in water and the solution is sprayed on the sorghum crop. This destroys insects and the aphid infestation is controlled. Many farmers in rural Surat use this traditional practice. |
