For increasing the yield, Mansukhbhai Patel takes the flour of pearl millet (Pennisetum typhoides). It is sprayed on the cumin crop in the proportion of two mounds of flour per one "bigha" land. This increases land fertility and controls diseases and insect infestation. The yield of cumin also increases.
