Details of Innovation	Vaghjibhai Parmar is a 52 year old educated farmer staying in Limbala village of Sayala taluka in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat. He suggests the use leaf extract of neem or Azadirachta indica to protect cotton crop from insects and infections. According to Vaghjibhai Parmar, several sap sucking infection and green worms attack the cotton crop. He boils about 250 grams of neem or Azadirachta indica leaves with 10 litres of water till the quantity of water is reduced to half. He fills up 500 gms of this solution in spray pump and sprays it over the cotton crop. It takes a day or two to control the insect in the crop. A second round of spray within a week gives better results. He has developed this method on his own and seen 70 to 80 per cent control of insects. There are no side-effects of this remedy.
