For controlling caterpillars, two people hold a long cord from both ends and walk in a way to touch the paddy crop at half its height. Caterpillars fall in the water and die. This practice is successfully being used since the last 3 years. He has gained 80 % control over caterpillars. This traditional practice is used by 20 % farmers in the village. |
