| Details of Innovation | Aphids attack the standing crop, vegetable plants and vine. They damage the leaves, flowers and stem of the plant and suck out the sap. They continue to cling to the plant and damage it beyond control. To control the menace of aphid, insects and white fly, take 200 g tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum), two pieces of Aloe vera and two litres of buttermilk, mix in 15 L of water and keep for 15 days. This mixture is filtered. In 15 L of water, 100 ml mixture is added and sprinkled on the affected green gram (Vigna radiata) crop and the crop is saved of the infestation. It is a traditional practice learnt from forefathers. |
