Details of Innovation To prevent wilt disease in the maize (Zea mays) crop, hundred gram oil cake of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea) is to be mixed with 10-litres of water. Then 100 gram castor (Ricinus communis) oil is added to this mixture. This oily mixture is then sprayed on the corn crop. This controls wilting. The benefit of the spray can be seen within 30 days. The crop becomes greener and yields more. Besides, there will be no recurrence of wilting.
