Details of Innovation |
Use of farm yard manure, floor of pearl millet (Pennisetum typhoides), and water for control of heliothis in groundnut (Arachis hypogaea) and castor (Ricinus communis).
Heliothis damage the crops in winter and monsoon season. Its infestation is increased in humid climate. For heliothis control, half-kilogram flour of pearl millet (Pennisetum typhoides)is mixed with 15 L of water and collected in container. Thereafter this container is kept in the heap of farm yard manure for 20 days. After 20 days, it is filtered with cloth and 10 ml of this filtrate is mixed in 15 L water capacity pump for spraying. This practice is control heliothis infestation.
This practice is learnt from SWADHYAY kendra and is in use for the last three to four years. |
