Details of Innovation	Chaganbhai Savjibhai Sakaria uses cow urine and water to prevent the rotting of bittergourd (Momordica charantia) crop caused by insects. As the method requires a lot of water, it has not been used in Janada in the Rajkot area in the past owing to water scarcity. However, when water is available, this method is a big hit with the farmers in the village. Besides, for every bigha of land, as much as 15 litres of cow urine is also required. This method and medicine act directly on insects. After use , no insect attack occurs on the bittergourd plant for a period of 15 days. It is a traditional practice.
