The native variety of ridge gourd exists from many years. Duration of this crop is four months and the crop starts to yield after two months from the date of sowing. It is a traditional method. In the prevailing variety of ridge gourd crop, the yield starts after 90 days, while native ridge gourd crop provides yield in 60 days.
