Details of Innovation In finger millet (Eleusine coracona) crop, the larvae may cause extensive damage by feeding on its leaves. As a result, the crop is stunted and yellow. To handle this situation, Shir Budiyabhai Ramjibhai Vadhera uses one kilogram bark of kod (Wrightia tinctoria) to powder form. Here, 10 litres of water is added and stirred well. The prepared decoction is sprinkled on the finger millet (Eleusine coracona) crop with the help of broom to spread uniformly. The effect of this treatment can be seen in a week on the applied crop. There is no side effect of the treatment. It is a traditional practice learnt from elders.
