Details of Innovation	According to the respondent Sonaji, when lucerne (Medicago sativa) crop grows up to two feet of height, the top of the plant infected by aphids is cut to half a foot and thrown in the irrigation channel in which the water is still flowing. This practice is repeated once in ten-days, or ideally twice a week when irrigating the field. This experiment was employed in the previous winter, giving 60 to 70% results in aphid control. The method has been passed down the generations. Several people in the nearby areas use this method.
