Details of Innovation At the time of grain set in the earhead of bajara (Pennisetum typhoides) crop, the seeds are soft and milky; the larvae consume the seeds. To prevent this situation, 300 g of jaggery is diluted in 10 L of water and sprayed on the affected bajara (Pennisetum typhoides) crop. This treatment effectively controls the larvae in the bajara crop. It is a traditional practice.
