Details of Innovation	According to the farmers of this area, the disease of wilt is observed at the time of the second reaping of the lucerne (Medicago sativa) crop in winter. As a result of this disease, the growth of the plant is stunted. The leaves turn yellow and stick to each other. This also makes it difficult to reap the crop. The farmers know through experience that 6 to 7 feet of reaping should ideally yield 20 kg, but when there is wilt, the yield is low. The farmers spread large grains of common salt in the beds after the first reaping to avoid this problem.
