Details of Innovation | In Nanjibhai's farm, the infestation of rodents is seen. To control this situation, pods of cowhage (Mucuna pruriens) are collected and kept near the burrows of rodents. As a result, the rodents run away from their burrows. While, if the infestation is more in the wheat (Triticum aestivum) crop, then pods are burnt into the ash. This ash is kept near the burrows of rodents. While, in sapota crop, the ash is tied in the cloth and hung on to the tree trunk so that rodents cannot reach ascent and runs away perpetually. It is a traditional practice. |
