Details of Innovation	This device created by Joy Augustin, has been devised for the purpose of slicing bananas with ease. It contains five cylinders to hold bananas. The banana is sliced with the help of a blade set on a round plate. There is a spring-action holder in the cylinders to keep the banana vertically in it. In order to keep the banana firmly in the cylinders, a simple spring load system is employed. There is a mechanism to reduce or enlarge the thickness of the piece in the machines itself. With this machine, 1200 slices can be given out in a minute. Operation of the machine is very simple. First of all the spring load system is raised and the bananas are inserted in the cylinders. Then the spring load system is released and the handle of the machine is rotated. As a result the blade set rotates and the bananas are sliced."
