Details of Innovation	Fungus sometimes develops inside groundnut (Arachis hypogaea), drying up the standing crop. For controlling this, Bothabhai dilutes the latex of milk hedge (Euphorbia nivulia) in water. This solution is sprinkled on the groundnut seed before sowing. By this method, fungus can be controlled in groundnut crop (Arachis hypogaea). However, proper care should be taken to ensure that all groundnut seeds get adequate cactus (Euphorbia nivulia) latex cover. Otherwise, the possibility of spoilage by fungus attack cannot be ruled out. At present, nobody is regularly using this method in the Dahod area. The practice has gone on trial only this year. Some farmers have intermittently used the practice in the past 10 years. The idea regarding this practice was given by a friend to Bothabhai.
