Details of Innovation	For storage of seeds of melon (Cucumis melo), a melon is freshly cut. Its seeds are kept in an old bamboo (Bambusa bambos) basket. The sticky material with the seeds of melon drops down from the basket. The seeds are then dried in the same basket. The seeds remain stuck to the wall of the basket with the sticky material. No special treatment is further required for the storage of this seed. The seeds are then separated at the time of sowing. The method helps to store seeds for a longer time.
