| Details of Innovation | To prevent crops from termite infestation, the seeds are treated with the leaf extract of wind killer (Clerodendrum phlomidis) before sowing. For treating the seeds, prepare 500 gram extract from one kilogram leaves of wind killer. Mix this extract with 20 kg of seeds before sowing. This prevents termite infestation in crops. Every season the farmers of the Dahod area treat the seeds to be sown with the leaf extract of wind killer plant. This prevents termite attack on crops. This is a traditional practice. |
