Ingredients leaves of date-sugar palm (Phoenicx sylvestris)
Details of Innovation Leaves of bustard teak (Butea monosperma) were in use to prepare seedlings. But in case of heavy rains these leaves get stuck to the soil and do not allow the seedlings to grow. This results in destruction of seedlings. To reduce this loss, leaves of bustard teak are now replaced by the leaves of date-sugar palm (Phoenix sylvestis). Leaves of date-sugar palm are spread over the seedbed after sowing of seeds. These leaves do not stick to the soil and allows the space for development of seedlings. The practice gives healthy seedlings.
