| Details of Innovation | In 2003, Shri Prakash Singh Raghuvanshi had developed a pigeon pea variety (Kudrat-3) from the variety ICPL 87 after 4 years of consecutive selection. In 2004-05, the seeds were distributed to farmers of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat and the got positive feedbacks. • Kudrat-3 is high yielding (30 to 35 q/ha) • Perennial variety • Takes 230-235 days to maturity • Bearing high no. of pods/ plant (500-700) • Pods 6-8 cm long with 4-6 bold seeds • Reddish yellow colored flower |
