PAS_1 "Maganbhai Khoont feeds the cattle with a mixture of cotton ball, dried beans of ‘desi baval’ (Acacia nilotica) and kernels of pearl millet. All these ingredients are boiled in water and the animal is fed with the boiled mixture at the time of milking. According to Maganbhai, the inner kernel from mango stone may also be added to the cattle feed to increase milk production (Honey Bee, 8(4):17, 1997)."

Procedure of Use The cattle breeders of Andhra Pradesh increase the milk yield in their animals by using the fruits of nalla jidi ginjalu or markingnut tree(Semecarpus anacardium). They soak four to five fruits of markingnut tree in a mud pot for two days. These are then ground and mixed with rice or rice-bran, and fed to the cattle. This is believed to increase the milk yield. <p> The other alternative is a mixture made from the roots of chettu veela (Algeria nervosa)</b>, roots of paradu teega (Algeria pylosa)</b>, Palm-jaggery, turmeric and vamu (Ajma).
