| Procedure of Use |
For treatment of glositis (tongue ulcers) in amimal, turmeric (Curcuma longa) powder is mixed with crushed garlic (Allium sativum) cloves and the mixture is rubbed on tongue twice daily for two days. This will cure the problem. |
| Etiology Causative Agent |
Causes of primary glositis includes: bacterial/ viral infections, mechanical irritation from teeth/ tongue, tobacco/hot food/alcohol, allergy to toothpaste or mouthwash. Causes of secondary glositis includdes: iron deficiency anaemia, pernicious anaemia, vitamin B deficiency, syphilis, apthous ulcers |
