Procedure of Use	Lakshmanbhai Khimjibhai Patel from the Bharad village of the Dhangadra taluka of the Surendranagar district in Gujarat uses cattle dung to enhance the growth of the lucerne (Medicago sativa) plant. This parctice is primarily followed by farmers with irrigation facility. Patel separates the well decomposed dung of cattle from the litter material. He mixes this separated dung with running water in the water channel manually. Then he applies the suspension of cattle dung to the plots of lucerne. This practice is followed at the time of first irrigation after harvesting of first forage cutting.
