Mix farm waste or chaff, collected from the fields after the harvesting of the bajri crop with jaggery and salt. Give this two the buffaloes to eat. Milch animals should be given at least half the weight in milk that they are producing as feed twice in a day. A minimum of one kilogramme should be given as extra cattle feed during the day. The animals are fed both dry and fresh grass. They are given water to drink at least four times a day during the summer and thrice during the winter. One should not give water just before milking, but in two instalments after milking. |
