Procedure of Use Paragbhai Jumabhai Khant of Dahod district in Gujarat uses the cloves of garlic (Allium sativa) to cure Salmonella pulorum in young chicken. Khant soaks one to two cloves of garlic in a cup of water for 12 hours. This water is given to the chicks whenever they are fed. The chicks are cured within two days of the treatment.
