PAS_1 "Natvarsinh Jhala uses the traditional fumigation method to cure bloat. He grinds 50 grams of turmeric (Curcuma longa) and mixes it with about 30 grams of salt. He then places hot coals in a vessel and sprinkles the mixture over the burning coals. He puts the hot vessel right under the nose of the animal. The animal inhales the smoke and its bloat is reduced."
PAS_2 "In a bloat case, Jethabhai Vankar adopts traditional herbal cure. The herbal medicine is prepared from the following materials: fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) seeds 100 grams, mineral salt or "sanchal" 25 grams, dry ginger (Zingiber officinalis) 25 grams, black pepper (Piper nigrum)25 grams and asafoetida (Ferula foetida) 25 grams. All the ingredients are ground to a fine powder and then mixed with jaggery. This mixture is fed to the animal. The bloat immediately subsides."
