PAS_1 The results demonstrated that the FCA and SL in powder form could inactivate AIV and NDV even in the absence or presence of organic materials. In the liquid form, 5% and 10% of FCA could inactivate AIV and NDV either in the absence or presence of organic materials. Alongside, 1%, 5%, and 10% of SL could inactivate both viruses. Ten percent of FCA solution could inactivate virus at a shortest time when compared with other concentrations. In addition, the efficacy of wet-dry conditions of FCA was limited when compared with SL. Precautions
Procedure of Use Farmer Bhupatbhai Mohanbhai from Bhavnagar district of Gujarat informs that in foot and mouth disease there is ulceration due to blisters in and around the foot and mouth region of the animal. The animal frequently stamps its feet, becomes feverish, disinterested in feeding and there is low milk yield in case of milk animal. For its treatment, Bhupatbhai burns one or two old footwear to get the ash. He then mixes some edible oil in the ash and applies the paste on affected parts 4 - 5 times in a day for one week or till the disease disappears.
