Procedure of Use "Repeat-breeding is a condition in which a cow or buffalo is serviced by the male of the animal every two or three months but does not result in pregnancy. The condition is confirmed after three such services go in vain. This happens due to excess heat or fat in the cow or buffalo in the native parlance. Artificial insemination is a different matter. The repeat-breeding condition causes loss of milk production as well as increase in the calving interval. Both ways the farmer loses. For the treatment of repeat-breeding condition in cows and buffalos, a solution containing a mixture of 500 g sugar and 500 gram turmeric (Curcuma longa) in water is drenched to the animal. This treatment gives relief to the animal, and pregnancy results and it is maintained. This is a traditional method learnt by farmers from their elders."
Etiology Causative Agent
Global Context Heat stress during the summer disrupts several reproductive processes, resulting in a pronounced depression of conception rate in dairy cows worldwide. (https://academic.oup.com/af/article/9/1/32/5167932)
