"If an animal is down with fever, it becomes anorectic, has dry muzzle and isolates itself from its own kind. Kalubhai Raghubhai Bharwad has an elaborate method of treatment for fever in animals. He takes 100 gram isabgul (Plantago ovate ), 50 gram black cumin (Nigella sativa), 50 gram red pepper (Capsicum annuum) mixes the ingredients and grinds them. He then adds one-litre water. He orally administers this herbal cure to the animal for two days. This is a traditional practice used by all farmers." |
