Precautions
Procedure of Use Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) occurs mostly in the winter season and it spreads from one animal to another. In the absence of treatment, it may cause death of the animal. As part of treatment, first the affected animal should be isolated. Then a 500 gram bark of bustard teak (Butea monosperma) should be cut, pounded and a solution is prepared. The solution should be sprayed on the legs of the affected animal three to four times a day. Clay should be rubbed on the mouth of the animal. It gets cured of FMD within three to four days.
