Procedure of Use "The animal affected with foot and mouth disease has ulcers in the mouth and hoof regions. The animal shows staggering movements. Its intake of feed is affected. Excess salivation is observed. The disease is generally observed before the monsoon season and during the winter. This is a contageous disease which may infect other animals in contact with an affected animal. Affected animal limbs, and milk-yield is reduced. To treat this animal, wash the affected body part of animal with clean water. Thenafter, one kilogram leaves of chaste tree (Vitex negundo) are crushed to paste and bandage daily on affected part of animal for 7 to 8 days. "
