"Yolk gall is a common problem in bullock, the affected animal has blisters, warts and swelling in the yolk region. The bullock is irritable. The sore patches tend to burst and boils are formed. Sometimes the wound may get infected. Normally this problem occurs when the surface of yolk wood is rough. To get rid of this problem, leaf extract of wild ""chopali"" (Marsdenia tenacissima) is applied on affected part of animal for pain relief in Yoke Gall. This is a traditional method and learned from ancestors. The method is in use for last 10 yr." |
