Tapeworms are flat, segmented parasites that can grow from 4 to 28 inches (10 to 71 centimeters) in length. Typically, they attach themselves to a host's intestinal walls and feed off the host's food. The medical term for a parasitic infection of tapeworms in humans is taeniasis. Procedure of Use |
The calf does not feed, becomes enervated and shows signs of pain in the abdomen region. This condition may sometime arises due to the excessive intake of milk by the calf. For the treatment, seeds of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum) are pounded well into the powder. As a remedy, 100 g powder is mixed with the cattle feed or with the loaf and fed daily to the affected calf for three days. This treatment removes tapeworm infestation in the calf. |
