Disease Description |
An eight to ten year old bull was presented with the history of swelling on the dorsal region of neck from last 3-4 months. The swelling was non-fluctuating, hard to touch and immovable. It was painful that, animal could not work properly. The animal showed loss of body condition with reduced feed intake.The Case was previously treated with antibiotics and anti- inflammatory drugs but the swelling did not subside.

Procedure of Use |
Blisters, warts and swelling are observed in the affected region of the bullock. The bullock is irritable. To cure this problem,first of all, yoke gall portion is cleaned with lukewarm water. Thereafter, 200 to 250 g castor oil (Ricinus communis) is taken in which 50 g powder of turmeric (Curcuma longa) is added. This mixture is smeared on the yoke gall portion of affected bullock twice a day for three days. This treatment will provide relief to the bullock. In addition, 50 g jaggery is dissolved and drenched. This practice has been in use from last 10 years. It is a traditional practice. |
