Disease Symptoms / Clinical Signs
Disease Description Anoestrus: The cow is not observed in oestrus either because she has not come into oestrus (not cycling) or because oestrus was not detected (cycling). True anoestrus: The cow does not come into oestrus because she has inactive ovaries. Suboestrus: The cow has normal cyclic activity, but is not observed in oestrus due to weak or absent oestrous behaviour, or insufficient observation. Precautions
Procedure of Use If the animal does not become oestrus, Rambhai Kadachh takes the roots of Indian tree spurge (Euphorbia neriifolia) and extracts a juice from it. This juice is drenched to the animal every evening for eight days. This turns the animal oestrus. Many farmers in Amreli district use this traditional practice
