Caesalpinia crista, Linn.(Leguminosae) seeds locally known as Karanjwahave been considered in the folk medicines anthelminthic, antiperiodic and anti-pyretic (Anonymous. 1956; Chopra ct al., 1956; Awan, 1981). Studies conductedby Akhtar et al.
