" Farmer Pratapbhai Sonabhai Chauhan cure diarrhoea with the help of tendu (Diospyros melanoxylon) fruit. In case, the cow, buffalo or bullock or any other animal is suffering from diarrhoea, grind about 300 to 400 gram rind of tendu (Diospyros melanoxylon) fruit. Add to it one-litre water. Keep it aside for one or two hours. Filter it with cloth or sieve. Drench all the solution to the animal in a single day (half the quantity in the morning and remaining in the evening). This cleans the digestive track and also improves digestive capacity of the animal. Diarrhoea is thus cured." |

Etiology Causative Agent |
Where diarrhoea is the most obvious sign, the primary causes can be thought of broadly in two different groups, nutritional and infectious. 1) Nutritional causes include: acidosis (e.g. grain overload), lush green feed, cobalt or selenium deficiency, copper deficiency or toxicity. 2) Infectious causes include: worms viruses (e.g. bovine viral diarrhoea virus), bacteria (e.g. Salmonella or Yersinia). It is important to remember that some infectious causes of diarrhoea, such as Salmonella and Yersinia, can potentially affect humans. Always practise high levels of hygiene when dealing with sick cattle. |
