Procedure of Use For the treatment of conjunctivitis in animals, about 50 gram roots and 30 gram leaves of Indian capper (Capparis sepiaria) are grounded on a stone, while adding water little by little. The resultant juice is about 100 millilitres. This is taken and kept in the mouth by the farmer then sprayed onto the eyes of the animal. This will solve the problem of conjuctivitis.
Etiology Causative Agent Primary infectious agent of pink eye is Moraxella bovis. Bacteria produce toxin which attacks the surface of eyes (cornea) & conjuctiva causing inflammation & ulceration.

Lesson Implication Cornea develop cloudy grey appearance due to inflammation, cornea may appear as small white spot, small ulcers near center of cornea
Other Medications / Treatments Subconjuctival therapy with Procaine penicillin, Parental therapy with Sulfadimidine, Also use Atropin & NSAIDs
