Posture of animal is normal at rest but every attempt to move the animal backwards is resisted. Animal shows jerky flexion during movements and drags the affected limbs with flexed pastern. Affected limb is brought forward with a jerky flexion on every step. At the time of sitting, animal stretched their legs. |

Impaired patellar fuction characterized by jerky movements during flexion to complete immobilization of the joints. Animal fixes its 'limb in extension ' while the patella glides up over the trachea to its maximum height on artecular surface. |

Procedure of Use |
Farmer Rvatbhai of district Surendranagar treat pattelar luxation in cattle. To rid the animal of the problem, use raw betel nut (Areca catechu) and crush the nut into powder. The powder is fed to the animal along with water, fodder or with a chapati. The animal is cured of the problem. |
