When there is shortage of fodder during the drought conditions; the farmers dig out roots of halfa grass (Desmostachya bipinnata) and feed those to cattle after cleaning. Besides, they also feed leaves of century plant (Agave americana) and roots of bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon). |
