Procedure of Use To cure conjunctivitis, use dry grains of sorghum (Sorghum vulgare), which are munched by the man administering the medicine and then its extract is applied in the eyes of the animal. Due to "cool" nature of sorghum, the animal is cured of the conjunctivitis problem.
Etiology Causative Agent Primary infectious agent of pink eye is Moraxella bovis. Bacteria produce toxin which attacks the surface of eyes (cornea) & conjuctiva causing inflammation & ulceration.

Lesson Implication Cornea develop cloudy grey appearance due to inflammation, cornea may appear as small white spot, small ulcers near center of cornea
Other Medications / Treatments Subconjuctival therapy with Procaine penicillin, Parental therapy with Sulfadimidine, Also use Atropin & NSAIDs
